YVS Chowdary and Gunasekhar, who does not have any big hits to their credits in the recent past, have joined hands for Nippu, which stars Box Office Maharaja Ravi Teja and beautiful Deeksha Seth.

Story:

Surya aka Suri (Ravi Teja) and Srikanth (Sriram) are good friends. Srikant is the son of Murthygaru (Rajendra Prasad) and his sister is Meghana (Deeksha Seth). Suri, who always fights against injustice, turns a bitter foe of Peddanna alias Raja Goud (Pradeep Rawat). In Saudi Arabia, Srikanth falls in love with Vaishnavi (Bhavana), daughter of Peddanna. Accidentally, Vaishnavi (Bhavana) had a fatal fall from hostel building. Sriram was arrested by Saudi police and the court sentences him to death. Surya, in order to save his friend’s life, compromises with Peddanna. He manages to get a letter of excuse from him and saves his friend from death sentence. At this juncture, Suri comes to know that Vaishnavi was not killed but it is an accidental death. The rest of the story deals with how Suri fights against Peddanna? Will the love track between Suri and Meghana turn successful? Is there any twist in Vaishnavi’s murder? Answers to all these questions form part of the climax.

Performance:

Ravi Teja is energetic. He has maintained the same ease in dance and action sequences. His comedy timing is also very apt and superb. In fact, it is he, who shouldered the onus of making the film successful from the beginning to the end. Deeksha Seth is very glamorous and makes a good screen presence in the film. She has maintained good chemistry with the hero and both of them appeared to be a good screen pair. Rajendra Prasad, Jayaprakash Reddy, Pradeep Rawat and others are good.

Technical:

Gunasekhar has once again faltered in the narration of the story, though he has prepared a good plot for the film. He has made the same mistake of his earlier film (Varudu) that he lost grip on the story after the first half, an hour of the second half. However, he picked it up in the end as the climax is good. Dialogues by Kona Venkat are good and appropriate to Raviteja. Though, the film’s narration is bad, the only solace is the cinematography by Sarvesh Murari. He showed excellent quality in action and songs sequences, while editing by Gauthamraju is adequate. Action by Kanal Kannan is good but some scenes looked very cinematic. Music by Thaman is good.

Remarks:

For all those, who like Ravi Teja’s movies, this film is no different from the earlier films. But if your are looking for a time-pass film, it is recommended.
